Programs

After School

Our After-School program runs Monday through Thursday until 6pm during the (DISD) school year. Our buses pick children up from local area schools, bringing them back to YBC. We feed them a hot nutritious meal, assist them with their homework, and lead them in a music program of praise and worship.

Our educational staff has a broad range of experience from Master’s Degrees to current college students.  Our staff has a combined teaching experience of nearly 100 years.

Summer Program

Our Summer Program runs Monday through Thursday from 7:30am through 3:30pm.  The days are filled with fun activities including arts and crafts, Bible study, as well as praise and worship. YBC also teaches drama classes, conducts field trips, gives guitar lessons, and encourages continued education through D.E.A.R. (Drop Everything and Read).

Our incredible staff is enhanced during the summer with YBC alumni, volunteers, as well as our interns. The intern program engages teens that have grown up in YBC and are now heading to college.

Music

Praise and worship music plays a huge role in everything we do. Music accelerates the children’s learning of the English language, as well as the Holy Scriptures.

Led by Angela Gaddis, YBC’s choir has performed at the Fort Worth Convention Center before an audience of nearly ten thousand, at Children’s Medical Center, as well as many local nursing homes and retirement villages.

YBC Music and Angela Gaddis’s Finally CD is available for purchase from this website.

Heart of a Champion

YBC focuses on community outreach through their “Heart of a Champion” program. This curriculum teaches positive character traits to student athletes in public schools. The importance of leadership, respect, responsibility, and integrity are emphasized as spiritual and educational tools.

“On and Up” Boys Mentoring

YBC seeks to reach the next generation through their “On and Up” mentoring program. This curriculum develops boys age 9 – 12 into caring, responsible, and productive leaders within their families and communities. Lessons are reinforced through meetings twice each month, held on Saturdays.
